Two things worth knowing
The diagnostic is not a hidden fee
$89 to find the fault properly, credited in full toward the repair when you go ahead. It exists because guessing at a part is how people end up paying twice.
Ask for the price before the work
Any technician worth hiring will give you a firm number before opening anything up, and tell you plainly when a repair isn't worth doing on an old machine. We do both.
