Refrigerator repair, diagnosed properly
A refrigerator that stops holding temperature costs you a fridge full of food before it costs you a repair. Most of the faults we see are a single component rather than the whole unit, and the diagnostic tells you which within the first visit.

Not cooling, but the light still comes on
Power is fine, so the fault is usually the compressor start relay, the condenser fan, or a sealed-system problem. Those are three very different repairs, which is exactly why guessing at a part is the wrong approach.
Freezer is cold but the fridge section is warm
Almost always airflow rather than cooling. The evaporator fan, the damper between compartments, or frost blocking the vent. The compressor is usually fine.
Running constantly and never cycling off
Dirty condenser coils, a failed defrost system, or a door seal that stopped sealing. It's also what drives up an electric bill before anyone notices the fridge is struggling.
Water pooling under the crisper drawers
A blocked defrost drain. Water that should evaporate backs up and finds the lowest point instead. Straightforward to clear, and worth doing before it reaches the floor.
Frost building up on the back wall of the freezer
The defrost heater or the defrost thermostat. Ignoring it eventually blocks the airflow that keeps the fridge section cold, which is how one fault turns into two.
Loud buzzing or a repeated clicking every few minutes
A compressor trying to start and failing, usually the start relay. Clicking every few minutes is the sound of a fridge on its way to not cooling at all.
No ice, hollow cubes, or an ice maker that flooded the freezer
Water inlet valve, a frozen fill tube, or the ice maker module. We test the assembly rather than replacing the whole thing by default.
How we diagnose it
The $89 tells you what's actually wrong
We check the easy things first, because they're often the answer: condenser coils, door seals, airflow. Then we test the electrical side — compressor windings, start relay, defrost circuit and thermostats — before touching the sealed system. That order matters. A sealed-system fault and a failed relay can look identical from the outside, and we are not going to put a number on either until the simpler causes are ruled out.

Refrigerator repair questions
How long does a refrigerator repair take?
Most are finished in a single visit. If a part has to be ordered we tell you the timeline up front rather than leaving you guessing.
Is it worth repairing, or should I replace it?
It depends on the age and which part failed. A start relay on an eight-year-old fridge is an easy yes. A sealed-system leak on a fifteen-year-old unit usually isn't. You'll get a straight answer at the diagnostic, before you've committed to anything.
Do you work on built-in and panel-ready refrigerators?
Yes, including column and integrated units. Those are a regular part of our workload in Alpharetta and Johns Creek, where a lot of homes have them.
My freezer is fine but the fridge is warm. Is the whole thing dead?
Usually not. That pattern points at airflow between the two compartments rather than the cooling system itself, which is a different repair entirely.
Can you fix just the ice maker?
Yes. Ice makers are a common standalone repair and we test the fill valve, water line and module rather than swapping the whole assembly on principle.
